Free statistics calculator app

Statistics Problem Solver Pro includes 10+ built-in calculators that run fully offline. You do not need a subscription for mean, median, mode, standard deviation, z-score, t-test, confidence interval, correlation, regression, binomial probability, or normal CDF. The app is free to download on the App Store.

When a calculator is the right tool

A photo solver is for messy word problems. A statistics calculator is for the moment you already know the method and need the arithmetic: a list of exam scores, a z from x, μ, and σ, or a one-sample t from summary stats. On iPhone, that should work in airplane mode.

What is included

From the App Store listing:

The same app also has a Normal and Binomial distribution visualizer with live sliders and shaded probability regions, plus a searchable formula reference. Those stay free as well.

How to use the calculators

  1. Open Statistics Problem Solver Pro and go to Calculators.
  2. Pick the tool that matches the homework (do not open z-score for a t-test).
  3. Enter the list or the summary statistics the problem gives.
  4. Read the result, then confirm it against the formula in the reference if you need to show work.

Solver vs calculator

Scan or type when the question is a paragraph and you need steps. Use a calculator when the inputs are already numbers. The solver includes 3 free full solves. Calculators are not counted against that limit.

Useful tips

  • Keep sample vs population straight before you hit calculate — especially for standard deviation.
  • For probability, the visualizer is better than a raw CDF if you need to see the shaded tail.
  • If you are stuck on which tool to open, search the formula reference by topic first.

Common mistakes

  • Entering percentages as 95 instead of 0.95 (or the reverse) in probability tools.
  • Using a z-score calculator when the problem gives s and a small n — that is usually a t situation.
  • Expecting the calculator tab to OCR a worksheet. Scanning is a separate action on Home.

How Statistics Problem Solver Pro helps

It is an AI stats solver and a calculator suite in one app, which is the point of the App Store subtitle. You can check a mean on the train with no signal, then scan a longer inference problem later. No account is required.
